If you are thinking of buying a pocket-sized drone packed with powerful camera capabilities. Then you might want to wait until DJI Spark 2 drone comes out in 2020, potentially. DJI is reportedly to be working on developing Inspire 3 drone and three new drones slated for launch this year.
The original DJI Spark drone made the debut on April 15, 2017. However, in the past three years there hasn’t been any news regarding the potential DJI Spark 2 drone. DJI Spark 2 Rumors & Possibilities
While these specs and features aren’t official, it is possible that DJI might go for a 2K HD camera instead of 4K UHD camera version. This is due to the fact they have Mavic Mini in the consumer market already and it comes with 4K UHD camera capabilities. If they were to release DJI Spark 2 drone with 4K UHD camera, then the Mavic Mini might get cannibalized.
Therefore, DJI will try to balance around their products and strike specifications that fall within the price line. Furthermore, it is unlikely for the Spark 2 drone to come with a dedicated transmission system. Although, it definitely will be a huge upgrade because the original Spark drone is plagued with remote connection issues.
The new Spark 2 drone obviously will come with longer flight time and bigger remote control distance. More color options would be a nice addition as well as faster video bitrate and integrated 3-axis gimbal stabilizer for smoother and professional video footage.
Professional photographers and recreational remote pilots who want a drone with longer flight time and packed with exceptional camera capabilities would want to have their hands on Mavic 2 Pro / Mavic 2 Zoom.
That’s all for DJI Spark 2 rumors. We will keep updating you with more information as we learn about the upcoming DJI Spark 2 drone that’s slated for potential launch in 2020. Stay tuned!
